Premier : SLK249T Gas Range Review

My last oven was not expensive.Magic Chef I believe.But it lasted over 20 years w/o any issues until the ignitors started to go.Instead of having it repaired, I decided to have it replaced. I did some homework and read a few reviews on the Premier line.The oven arrived and with the exception of nearly blowing up every time you light the burners, it worked fair for 18 months (6 months after the warranty ran out).Suddenly without warning the oven wouldn't light.I called a repair company and they said it was a thermostat.After much effort to contact the service dept and one incorrect part being sent, Premier sent a new one.I was then told that I also needed an electrode and module.To make matters worse, when I went to clean the broiler I noticed that a large section of the paint underneath had been peeling.Bottom line is I seriously regret my decision to purchase this oven.2 years into owning it, I've paid as much in repairs bills as I would have if I had just bought a better one.Lesson learned.Maybe I can sell it on ebay.
